PALSER FARMS HISTORY
Home Page
W H Palser Farms was
originally known as "Palser Bros & Smith". George, Will and Edgar Palser
came to western Nebraska around 1918 from North Loup, Nebraska. Edgar
was the first to arrive and seeing the productive farmland urged his
brothers to join him. Their brother-in law, Ross Smith joined them for several years. In 1931 they dissolved
the partnership and continued on their own. Will and Grace Palser were
parents to nine children, two daughters and seven sons. In 1968 Will and his sons
Ivan, John and Vernon formed W H Palser Farms, Inc. As the years passed
sixteen grandchildren were born and raised on this farm.
The only surviving members of the original corporation are Norma Palser
and Mary Helen Palser. Steven, son of John and Norma Palser is the
President of the corporation and manages the farm. Our principal
crops are corn and wheat. Steven's wife
Peggy and Nita McGreer, daughter of Ivan & Mary Helen Palser have
joined efforts to establish a guest house, The Corner House.
